I am pleased to share that the new SQLSaturday website is now live! We have updated the look and feel as another step in both the modernization of our websites and in the unveiling of the new PASS branding

The new SQLSaturday logo fits with the fresh new branding first shared at PASS Summit 2016 and was utilized with the launch of PASS.org in February. With the new logo, we wanted to capture some of what makes SQLSaturday so special as every localized event is unique. From the location, the content, the size, the venue, and all of the special touches each organizer brings to their event. No two SQLSaturday events are equal. Thus, the “< >” which many of you have noticed has a meaning of “not equal to” in SQL. With this logo and its meaning, we celebrate our events and our dedicated volunteers who make SQLSaturdays the success that they are, every single time.

I want to thank all the community members who shared their feedback so openly over the past several months. Prior to this upgrade, we received very specific feedback from a key group of organizers regarding the overall approach and how the new SQLSaturday logo ought to be implemented. The great feedback and support from our organizers were invaluable. We leveraged this feedback as we finalized details such as logo usage, date and city formatting, and the timing for implementation.

Over the coming weeks, the team at HQ will be working with the organizers of all upcoming events to help support a smooth transition to the new branding. This will include guidelines for using the new brand, help with how to transition for established events, and a webinar to provide an overview and to answer any questions.

Once again, we’d like to thank our volunteers who make SQLSaturdays such unique events. As always, if you’d like to share and feedback, please email us at info@pass.org
