Last month, PASS delivered the first Business Analytics (BA) Day on January 11, 2017, in Chicago, IL. This intensive day of training provided attendees two different tracks for furthering their learning in analytics: Advanced Analytics or Data Visualization and I’m excited to announce it was a real success!

PASS BA Day is a new one-day intensive event model for business analytics professionals that we are piloting in 2017. We are very encouraged by the results of this first event and are currently in the early planning stages for the next event, which will be held in Atlanta, GA later this year.

As mentioned in my earlier blog post, my portfolio is focused on continuing to enhance our educational offerings and BA Day forms a part of this strategy. We will work to improve each future BA Day event with all of the feedback that we receive to make these opportunities as relevant and productive as possible.

Here are some of the key highlights:

  • Think local: 73% of attendees were either from the Illinois region or surrounding states.
  • This event was viewed as the type of practical training PASS is known for: 83% strongly/somewhat agreed that the content could be immediately applied to their jobs.
  • Attendees felt that the content and format were on-target: 88% strongly/somewhat agreed that the full-day format worked well with the topics presented.

If you attended this training, we hope that you enjoyed this new format and if you would like to provide any additional feedback, please email me
