I wanted to share a change to our current Board composition. Ryan Adams has resigned from his role as Director-at Large for the PASS Board and will be joining Microsoft effective January 9, 2017. Ryan’s resignation from the Board will be effective December 31, 2016.
When a Director-at Large seat becomes vacant outside of a standard election cycle, the PASS Bylaws indicate that the Board of Directors may appoint a candidate for up to one year, by a majority vote, to fill the remainder of the term, until it may be added to a general election.
The Executive Committee will be working closely with the Board, our partners, and our community to appoint a director to fill the remainder of Ryan's term. We will have more on that process after our January Board meeting.
Until an appointment has been made, support for our Chapters will be provided by members of the Executive and the team at PASS HQ. Portfolio announcements for all Board positions will be made in the coming weeks.
On behalf of the PASS Board, I want to take this opportunity to personally thank Ryan for his dedication and passion, particularly in his efforts in support of our Chapters and Regional Mentors. He has been an active volunteer, Regional Mentor, Chapter Leader and Speaker at PASS and we are fortunate for his commitment. We wish him tremendous success in his new role.
