Campaigning begins on Wednesday, 28 September, with balloting opening on October 5 and continues until 11 October. On 29 September, GoToWebinar sessions will be held with each candidate to give the community opportunities to ask questions. The candidate schedule is listed below. There will also be a Twitter chat on 6 October, so we encourage all PASS members to get involved in this important process.
After monitoring the effectiveness of the PASS Anti-Harassment Policy for a few years, the PASS Board of Directors decided to revisit the policy. The Board recently approved a revised version of the policy, which is now in effect. This is a very important policy document for PASS, designed to ensure that everybody has an enjoyable and safe experience at PASS events. Congratulations to Andy Warren, Joaquin Romero, Erin Stellato, and Thomas LeBlanc who will join the Nominations Committee (NomCom) Chair, Thomas LaRock, and Board representative, Tim Ford, to complete the full six-member 2016 NomCom.
At the March 10 Board Meeting, the Board voted to approve the proposed process to select the Nominations Committee (NomCom). Those PASS voting members who are interested in a position on the NomCom can submit a letter of interest (using this template) from Monday 14 March to Wednesday 23 March. PASS will hold the first Town Hall for 2016 on 17 March from 8:30 to 9:30 AM PST via GoToWebinar. The focus will be on updates to the Nomination Committee process (outlined in Thomas LaRock’s recent blog post) and PASS Board elections items for this year.
