Baseline Basics or: Who Broke the Database

Presenter: Adam Machanic

Session Details:

Does the server seem a bit sluggish today? Is a quick glance at performance counters not revealing any obvious culprit? Where should you go next? The answer—if you don’t relish wasting your entire morning on data collection and analysis—is to take a peek at your baseline metrics to see what’s changed. Oh wait. You don’t have any baseline metrics? Attend this webcast for a quick introduction to why and how you should be collecting information so that when performance problems show up at the door, you’ll be able to quickly show them the way out.
